Base fits receiver well. It has a built in recoil lug as well. It is a picatinny rail so slots are wider than regular ring cross piece. You can put regular rings on it just make sure to push them forward before tightening.

This base does not fit the savage 10BA sa model rifles as it requires modification by a gunsmith and different hardware. The quality of the product is good all the same.
